Is it strange that I get a tear in my eye when I look at pictures of America?

I'm 17 and born in London, England. I've never been to America in my life but I love the country so much that whenever I look at pictures, I get excited and I end up getting a tear in my eye. Why is this? I'm such a big fan that I watch loads of programmes that are related to America I also have loads of books about the nation. My ideal job would be travelling all around America taking pictures. I really do admire the culture, lifestyle and traditions. I feel as though I'm American even though I'm not. What do you think? =)Is it strange that I get a tear in my eye when I look at pictures of America?
There aren't to many Americans out there anymore that get the chills every time the ';Star Spangled Banner'; is herd , but I still do. You have a great thing there, your fascination with this great nation. More of us Americans should have the same interests but most of us don't. This country is supposed to be about the people and how through sacrifice and hard work makes a better place for all who come hear. When I see pictures of this place called the United States I think ';Wow this is the most beautiful places on earth';. Most who live here are too worried about what's going on in Hollywood. There are many magazines out there based on this country. A good photographer is always needed.Is it strange that I get a tear in my eye when I look at pictures of America?
its good you want to visit America but some American films are propaganda. Its not all true. But Britain and America have many similarities in terms of culture. Best advice, if you are so interested in America, visit sometime. I have a facination with the middle east because of the different culture and the history.
well,i'm lucky enough to have been,only to new york mind but it was amazing,and i too love america,i don't admire the government but i love the people and the history etc,it isn't strange to have a passion about something so go for it and maybe one day your dream will come true and you will visit
That's rlly kinda cool. Many Americans would be surprised someone from another nation would actually have a positive image of this nation. Some of our citizens probably don't like America as much as you do! It's great!
