Why do famous actors not want people to look them in the eye?

I know second hand that Meg Ryan had someone fired from a hotel for committing this sin. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow also have policies forbidding extras/store employees to look them in the eye? Any more that other people know of?Why do famous actors not want people to look them in the eye?
are you serious. they need to get real. thats what eyes are for, to see who you're talking to and it's improper not to look them in the eyes. Why do famous actors not want people to look them in the eye?
I find it stupid when they do that.Maybe because they think they are better than the person that works for them or anyone else for that matter.Anyway it's not proper to not look at someone in the eyes.
Probably because they think they're better than them, and that the common-folk are not worthy to look directly into their eyes.
