I can never make long eye contacts with people, so I think 3 seconds is quite enough. However, I think eye contacts should be longer with your bf/gf.If you hold eye contact for three seconds and then look away without smiling?
Three seconds isn't much, other than for the person you are staring at to wonder ';what the heck is he staring at me for?';
Is that enough for what?
